SWARCO Indusferica Talent Award
The first SWARCO Indusferica Talent Award (SITA) 24/25 was successfully held to honor outstanding researchers for their scientific and technological achievements in applied research on glass beads for industrial applications.
The application deadline was January 30, 2025. New submissions are therefore no longer possible.
Outlook for the SITA 25/26
The next SWARCO Indusferica Talent Award 25/26 is expected to be announced in about a year. All details regarding the new call for submissions will be published here in due time.
SWARCO Indusferica is presenting the first SWARCO Indusferica Talent Award (SITA) 24/25 to honour excellent researchers for their scientific and technological achievements in applied research in the field of glass beads for industrial applications.
Submissions must describe an innovative idea for the use of glass beads as filler beads in different materials such as plastics and composites, paints, varnishes and coatings, additive manufacturing or 3D printing, or in building materials. Key criteria for the award are innovative strength, sustainability, practicability and benefit for the industry.
Goal
Recognition of outstanding research that promotes the use of glass beads as a filler material in plastics and composites, paints, varnishes, coatings, additive manufacturing / 3D printing, and building materials.
The award
The SWARCO Indusferica Talent Award 25/26 will once again include prize money. The exact amounts for each placement will be announced once the new edition of the award is launched.
The SWARCO Indusferica Talent Award 24/25 will hand out a total of 3,500 euros. The winner of first prize will be awarded 1,500 euros, while the winners of second and third prize will each receive 1,000 euros.

Each submission must include:
- The student’s CV
- Confirmation of enrolment at a university or university of applied sciences
- A completed form with the applicant’s contact details
Submission
- The submission deadline for the SITA 25/26 will be announced here.

- Only submissions that are sent in full to the above e-mail address by the stated deadline will be considered.
