Business Development Manager - Industrial Glass Beads (m/f/d)
You are responsible for the strategic expansion of the glass bead business in technically demanding applications. The role covers market analysis, identification of new business opportunities, management of existing customers as well as the technical and commercial development of projects across various industries. The objective is to strengthen the market position, build long-term partnerships and develop new applications.
Responsibilities
Market & Business Development - Europe
- Identify, evaluate and develop new market segments for glass beads (microbeads) in demanding applications
- Analyse market trends, technologies and competitive landscapes in paints & coatings, plastics, additive manufacturing & 3D printing, and building materials
- Develop go-to-market strategies and support product launches
- Build a robust sales funnel and increase market presence
Customer Management & Acquisition
- Acquire new industrial customers and further develop existing key accounts
- Advise customers on product benefits, specifications, material selection and application techniques
- Conduct technical presentations, trainings and product demonstrations
- Unterstützung von Kunden bei Qualifizierungs- und Testprozessen
Technical & Commercial Project Management
- Develop customer-specific solutions in close cooperation with R&D, application engineering and production
- Coordinate internal resources and ensure feasibility, quality and adherence to timelines
- Prepare quotations, pricing strategies and business case calculations
- Manage projects from first customer contact through to series approval
Cooperations & Innovation Development
- Collaborate with universities, testing institutes, OEMs and industrial partners
- Initiate joint development projects (e.g. functionalised glass beads, new filler applications, surface modifications)
- Identify trends and emerging technologies in additives, coatings and polymer compounds
Sales & Financial Responsibility
- Responsibility for revenue growth, margins and achievement of strategic targets within the assigned area
- Develop annual business plans and forecasts
- Build and manage international sales partners and distributor networks
Profile
Professional Requirements
- University degree in chemistry, materials science, polymer engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in business development, technical sales or product management
- Knowledge of glass beads, functional fillers, pigments, additives or related industrial materials is an advantage
- Experience in at least one of the target industries (paints & coatings, plastics, additive manufacturing & 3D printing, building & construction)
- Solid understanding of industrial production and quality processes

- Independent, structured working style and high resilience in challenging situations

Technical Sales Manager - Industrial Glass Beads & Technical Applications (m/f/d) | Europe
You play a key role in developing our glass bead business in technically demanding applications. You support international industrial customers and accompany innovative projects from initial concept through to series application. The objective is to sustainably strengthen our market position, build long-term partnerships and unlock new growth potential.
Responsibilities
Key Account Management & New Customer Acquisition
- Acquire new industrial customers and further develop existing key accounts
- Provide technical consulting on product benefits, specifications, material selection and application technology
- Prepare and conduct technical presentations, trainings and product demonstrations
- Participate in customer events, trade fairs and conferences
- Support customers during qualification, testing ad implementation phases
Liaison Between Engineering & Sales
- Analyse customer requirements and develop tailored product and application solutions
- Coordinate internal resources and ensure feasibility, quality and adherence to timelines
- Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts and assume revenue responsibility for defined market segments
- Collaborate with universities, testing institutes, OEMs and industrial partners and support joint development projects
Sales & Financial Responsibility

Profile
